Group Exercise Instructor – Spin

I began my journey into fitness when I started running in middle school and ran distance events for high school track.

I moved up to Massachusetts after graduating from college and found fellow runners who inspired me to start running longer distances and competing in races.  Over the years I completed 5ks, 10k’s, a  half marathon and eventually the Boston Marathon.

When I wasn’t running, I was often at the gym doing strength training or other group fitness classes.

My introduction to spin came when I joined Global Fitness in Tyngsboro.  I had been experiencing knee issues related to wear & tear from years of running & someone suggested I give spin a try.  From my first class, I was completely hooked. The high energy, low impact workout was exactly what I needed now that I was no longer running. After taking multiple classes a week for a year or two one of the instructors encouraged me to get certified as a spin instructor in 2015 through Maddogg Athletics, Inc and began subbing before eventually teaching several classes regularly. Although I took a break from teaching during COVID I’m excited to be back in the saddle and part of team at WindSoul Wellness.
