What Is Thai Yoga Bodywork?
Ever wish you could enjoy the benefits of yoga without having to do all the bending, twisting, or balancing? That’s exactly what Thai Yoga Bodywork offers — lovingly referred to as “Lazy Man’s Yoga.”
Thai Yoga Bodywork is a one-on-one assisted yoga practice rooted in traditional Thai techniques developed over 2500 years ago.
During a session, the client remains fully clothed and rests comfortably while the practitioner guides the body through supported movement, passive stretching, and assisted yoga postures, incorporating gentle rocking and steady, intentional pressure. The experience is slow, grounding, and always adapted to each individual’s comfort level and mobility.
This practice consists of fluid, continuous sequences that move the body through supported stretching and gentle rotation in a variety of positions, including lying on the back, front, side, and seated cross-legged on the floor. Rooted in traditional yoga postures, or asanas, Thai Yoga Bodywork blends gentle rocking, deep supported stretching and steady, rhythmic pressure to create a calming and deeply grounding experience.
No prior yoga experience is required. Thai Yoga Bodywork is ideal for anyone who would like to explore, open, and connect deeply with body, mind, and spirit in a relaxed, nurturing environment.
